Richard J. Oulton

Richard is the founder, president, and a shareholder of America Law Group, Inc.

He has been a continuously-licensed lawyer since 1973. He has been licensed to practice law in Virginia, District of Columbia, and New York. His academic credentials include an Associate of Arts (AAS), Bachelor of Arts (BA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and Juris Doctorate (JD).

Richard has a history of fighting “the good fight.” He is a combat-wounded Purple Heart recipient, who served with the famed “Walking Dead Marines” during the Vietnam War. He is a member of the Khe-Sanh Survivors Association, “Walking Dead Marine” Association, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Disabled American Veterans, Marine Corps League, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He has volunteered his legal services as Legislative Officer of the Virginia Chapter of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, and as an Associate Professor of Health Law at the Medical College of Virginia.

In more recent times, Richard continued “the good fight” as “The Wyndham Flag Man” in a four-year battle fought against the developer of Wyndham (a planned Richmond community) for the right of all homeowners to properly fly our American Flag atop a flagpole on Memorial Day. He fought the case through the Virginia Supreme Court, and on to the U.S. Supreme Court.

In his free time, he enjoys going to the lake and spending time with his family and friends.

 

Robert B. Duke, Jr.

Robert has been practicing Bankruptcy Law and Estate Planning since 2010, and he has been with America Law Group since 2011. He is licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, as well as the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

He earned a Bachelor’s Degree (BA) and graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina in 2003. He earned a Juris Doctorate (JD) from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2006.

Robert is a recipient of an Honors Scholarship and a Book Award for Constitutional Law from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. He also was competitively selected for the Student Judicial Council at the University of South Carolina.

Robert is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with his family and friends.

 

Alexis X. Oulton

Alexis is the daughter of Richard. She is a shareholder and managing attorney of America Law Group, Inc.

Alexis has been practicing Bankruptcy Law with America Law Group since 2020. She is licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, as well as the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

She earned a Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in 2016 from Christopher Newport University, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Political Science and Philosophy of Law. She is an alumna of Alpha Sigma Alpha (AΣA) sorority.

Alexis attended Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in North Carolina, from which she earned a Juris Doctorate (JD) in 2019 at just 23 years old. During her time in law school, she gained experience working in the Stubbs Bankruptcy Clinic.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling the world, reading, going to concerts, and spending time with her family and pets.

 

Elizabeth F. Egan

Elizabeth has over 22 years of experience in both Domestic Relations and Bankruptcy Law. She is licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, as well as the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

She earned a Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from Virginia Tech in 1990, and she earned a Juris Doctorate (JD) from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 1998.

As a Family Law attorney, Elizabeth provides advice, counseling, and legal representation in domestic relations matters (such as divorce, separation, custody, support, and protective orders).

Elizabeth’s experience as a Bankruptcy attorney includes legal counsel and representation in both Chapter 7 and 13 cases, as well as adversary proceedings. She successfully argued before the Honorable Kevin R. Huennekens the case of Lopez v. Specialized Loan Servicing (In re Lopez) (Bankr.E.D.Va.2019).

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, tennis, dancing, and watching old movies.
